Exhausted and Satisfied

What a fabulous week!  We just got home last night from an epic trip to the Oregon coast and we're exhausted and satisfied.  We had so much fun.  Collected so many great memories.  And are so tired of the car!

I'm not a fan of long car trips.  I'm glad I didn't realize just how long it would take to get there, or we never would have gone.  When we finally made it to the coast (Lincoln City), it was almost dark.  We stopped at the very first beach we saw and took in the beauty.  Sadly, we still had another hour of driving to get to the house we had rented so we reluctantly piled back into the van.

Of course, it was completely dark by the time we arrived at our final destination, so we couldn't appreciate the view, but we could hear the crashing waves.  My mom accepted the invitation to join us on this trip and she was already at the house to welcome us.

And this was our view the next morning.  To quote a favorite Auntie when she saw this picture.... "Wowza!"  What a view we had!  And we never tired to soaking it in.  From the hot tub was a nice location.  We had it pretty good.  But four short days later, it was time to make the exhausting trip home.

As you can imagine, I think I took about 5 million pictures.  Many more to come!
