Hors d'oeuvre, Anyone?

Last weekend was our yearly August Selway trip with a group fondly known as the "Yeehaw Gang." Don't ask me where the name comes from. Not sure. Except that they are known to whoop it up on occasion! There is a huge grassy area along the river that someone reserves every year. It's already reserved for the first week in August next year. We'll also go over Labor Day weekend. It's fun. Lots of beach time, visiting, floating the river, book reading, eating, sitting by the fire, eating. The first night we were there just happened to be hors d'oevre night. Lots of yummy, high fat foods to graze on. They also got out the blender (a VitaMix to be exact!) and spread the cheer with yummy alcoholic drinks for the adults and smoothies for the kids. It's all about roughing it.

There was music playing and a few people started dancing. Not to be left out, Morgan danced with his favorite little girl, Elise.

Morgan has a soft spot for Elise. A couple years ago on this Selway trip, he announced out the blue that he was going to marry her someday. That was a tad shocking. Don't know where he got that idea, but he's stuck with it ever since. Poor boy, only gets to see his fiancee a couple times a year since Elise lives in Richland, Washington, but that doesn't seem deter him.

I love this picture (thanks, Leah--I stole it from Facebook!). Smiling into each other's eyes, they sure seem to like each other! They were dancing awfully close here. His "father-in-law" didn't like it!

That's just about the sweetest thing I've ever seen (what a romantic those Poxleitner men are) ... Wouldn't it be a hoot if they followed through ... sometime after they have graduated, COLLEGE, that is!
