The girls did great. I was disappointed that the judge thought they deserved red ribbons. They maybe didn't deserve to come back for the Grand Champion class, but they definitely deserved blue ribbons. Needless to say, I wasn't a fan of this year's pig judge.
Showing pigs is like herding cats. It's just organized chaos!

He helps move the animals from their pens to the show ring and back again and uses a handy-dandy board to to push the pigs where they need to go and to break up fights. Ellea likes having him in the ring with her.
And, another miracle! Nicole's bottle calf actually followed her around the show ring without being dragged against her will!! A week before this, she could hardly get her to walk more than two steps! She got to the fair and was a different animal! She earned herself a blue ribbon. I liked the beef judge just fine!

Who were the judges this year? Anyone I know? I wish all the kids could get blues, but maybe that is why I am not a parent nor a judge :)
