We were concerned that Nicole's pig was going to weigh 300 pounds, but it wasn't. Only 282. Ellea's was 255. The minimum is 220. We made weight! It's all good after that! (If you don't make weight, you don't get to sell your animal at the fair. That's a major loss in profits. More on that on day four.....)
The pigs went directly to the wash pens. They did not pass Go. They did not collect $200.
We went directly to the scone booth. Around these parts, a Fair Scone is not a dry, doughy-type of scone that some people rave about. No, this is a fried piece of deliciousness. I should've taken a picture of said-scone, but I was too busy eating it. So here is a picture stolen from the internet.
And everyone lived happily ever after.

ooooh i love a good fair scone! so delicious and greasy. Steve and I went to the western idaho fair last weekend in boise, and my main attraction was the food. we went in the evening after dinner, so we had a famous ice cream baked potato and a pound of curly fries, but, sadly, no scone! Good thing we have a few more chances with fairs around here coming up! Sounds like you guys had a fun and busy weekend at the fair!
