It is incredibly satisfying to dig potatoes in the fall. It's like a treasure hunt!

I was a little disappointed that I didn't get a few more spuds, but I think I needed to water the plants more often. I'll do better next year. Glenn and I really like red potatoes, so it's a good crop to invest a little time into.

This was my biggest and my littlest! Thankfully, there weren't too many this tiny!

This is a pretty nice "haul"! We dug ours last weekend too. Just a hint: get all of those "little guys" out of the ground, even if you throw them away. Or, there will be volunteer spuds EVERYWHERE next year, which is a real pain the butt if you rotate where you plant stuff. Just a hint from, sadly, past experience :)
My husband is a huge fan of potatoes (an understatement)... boiled, baked ... it doesn't matter, he'll even take 'em as dessert! He's teased me over the years insisting he married me because I was from the land of potatoes - ha! (he's from Montana).
