Double Header

Ellea had not one, but two baskeball games last Wednesday. Glenn inadvertently scheduled two games in two different towns on the same day. I suggested he just cancel one, but he said the coaches of the other teams didn't want to cancel. That guy is too nice sometimes. Who care if they want to cancel?!!

He decided to sent a note home to the parents that our team had a game in Cottonwood at 3:30 pm and if he had enough kids who wanted to go to the 5:15 pm game in Grangeville, they'd play that one also. He ended up with six kids (out of 12) so he decided to go.

It turned out to be a good thing for those 6 kids because they got a lot more playing time than they usually would. They were very red-faced and tired by the end of the game, but they're young. They recover quickly.

Girls who don't usually play the Point Guard position, gave it a try. This is Ellea dribbling the ball up the court. She played really well. She got frustrated because the other team was fouling a lot and the ref wasn't calling any fouls. Glenn was hoping that might inspire Ellea to play a little more aggressively than she typically does.

Final score was 16 to 4--our win. That was nice, because the first game we played, we lost 7 to 37. I know it's not about winning, but winning sure is more fun!
