We weren't able to actually go to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island, because this time of year, they quit running the ferry to her at 2:30 pm and our conference ran later than that. We decided to take the Staten Island Ferry so we could experience the water and get a little closer to her.
I have to say, it was the highlight of the trip for me.
She still wasn't all that close, but there she was in all her glory.
And you'll remember from yesterday's post, it was all part of my clever plan to take the wrong subway train so we would see her right at sunset!
