We took the kids to their first-ever 3-D movie last weekend. Uncle Tony (my brother) is a big Kung Fu Panda fan and we all enjoy Po the Panda as well, so we met up in Lewiston for the premier weekend of Kung Fu Panda 2.
In my pre-blogging days, I wouldn've have dreamed of taking a photo of us in a movie theater. I'm sure Tony and his wife Paige were wishing I still didn't dream of such things, but my family is now used to me snapping pictures of everything we do. To my credit, we were the only ones in the theater at the time.
So, the movie was fun. If you liked the first Kung Fu Panda, you'll should see this one. The glasses were weird. I felt like I had my sunglasses on and had a powerful urge to remove them. The picture looks fuzzy without them, and I paid good money to get to wear those silly things, so I did! Without immediately going and watching the 2-D version of the movie, I can't compare and contrast them for you, but it was a good experience. Glenn and I wonder if a non-animated action movie might not be more exciting in 3-D. I'll do my homework and get back to you on that. Oh, the sacrifices I make for this blog!
